Basic chords are formed on the 3 notes of the arpeggio but played together rather than in sequence :-
Eg C major is C,E,G so C chord is C+E+G played together
Or E major is E,G#,B so E chord is E+G#+B played together
Or D minor is DFA so D minor chord is D+F+A together
